The candidate for this position will create state-of-the-art Integrated Development Environment (IDE) software tools, which are used to develop, verify, debug and simulate programs for coarse-grained reconfigurable digital signal processor cores. Key responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of advanced tools and (graphical) user interfaces for a software development environment that integrates compilers, simulators and editors;
- Develop new principles, theories and concepts for compilers and hardware simulators;
- Help in preparing procedures and infrastructure for a large software development team, including version control, quality assurance and documentation.

The qualified candidate has good C/C++ skills and is structured in all aspects of software development, including design, specification, implementation, documentation and version control. The candidate has a hands-on mentality and enjoys working in a dynamic environment. The candidate is comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team and able to communicate clearly to a wide public, including other engineers, customers and management.

Required skills:
- 2-3 years experience working as a software engineer;

- Experience with hardware description languages, assembler languages, grammar construction and parser building;
- Advanced graphical user interfaces, knowledge of (parallel) computer architectures and of of digital signal processing.
